Gennem Ramels Dam havde de store vådområder på Kronborg Ladegaard-arealerne forbindelse til [[Spildepengedam]], hvorfra der var afløb gennem vandløbet [[Strømmen]] til Øresund. Hele området, der i sin tid udgjorde Ramels Dam, er forlængst tørlagt og i dag tæt bebygget, bl.a. med bebyggelsen "Negerlandsbyen", på begge sider af Rosenkildevej op mod Gurrevej.<br />
