Blandt initiativtagerne kan nævnes læger, jordemødre, skoleledere, fagforeninger og byens erhvervsdrivende, med borgmester Peder Christensen som tovholder.<br /> <br /> Selskabet har gennem årene igangsat og drevet daghjem, middagskøkkener, børneplejestation, kurser for mødre, fødehjem, vuggestuer og integrerede børneinstitutioner. <br /> <br /> En helt anden type aktivitet er familiefestivalerne i midten af 1980&#039;erne i Smørhullet i Helsingør.<br /> <br /> Senere har Selskabet bygget bofællesskabet Løntoften for udviklingshæmmede og taget initiativ til og stået for etableringen af boligerne for 20 udviklingshæmmede og specialbørnehaven Himmelhuset på Anna Anchersvej/Krøyersvej. <br /> <br /> ===Litterarurhenvisninger==<br /> Selskabet Mødre- og Børnehjælpen i Helsingør 1941-2011.
